Water is a part of our every day lives, as well as 71 percent of earths surface. We use water for everything in our lives. If you take water out of the equation we would die. The earth would die. Nothing would exist. Some things we use water for are:
-Daily bathroom activities
-Food
-Agruculter
-Drinking
-Industries
-Transportation
-For activities
-Cleaning things
Anything you do in a day involves water. Unfortunately we are running out of viable water we can use. "According to the UN, by 2025, 1.8 billion people will be living in countries or regions with absolute water scarcity, and two-thirds of the world population could be under water stress." We are using water too quickly and too excessively. "Agriculture is the largest user of water (70%), followed by industry (20%) and individuals (10%). Every person drinks 2-4 liters of water a day and eats 2,000-5,000 liters of virtual water in the food they consume."

Why Does Oil Matter
Oil is a part of our every day lives. From cooking to driving. You use oil every day, without oil we wouldn't be able to do half the things we do in our days. Since we use oil every day we are running into the problem of having an expiration date with how much oil we have left. "Lifeblood of the industrialized nations Oil has become the world's most important source of energy since the mid-1950s." We are turning to other forms of energy to use for cars and heating homes, but we still need the oil for every day things like:
-Coating pills
-Binding agents for cream
-Medical devices
-Contact lenses
-Cosmetics
-Clothes
-Paint
-Credit cards
-Shopping bags
-Non stick pans
-Anything plastic
-office supplies
-Pesticides
-Fertilisers
-Sports equipment
These are just a couple of things that we haven't found other ways of creating without oil. These are also every day things we use.

The Oil we all Know
Lets take a look at oil. Oil is a very important part of the society that we live in. Crude oil is the type of oil everyone thinks about when people mention oil.
We use Crude oil to:

-Oil that builds our roads

Why is Other Oil Important
Take a step back. Stop thinking of oil as something that fuels our cars, homes, and builds our roads. Look at other forms of oil:
-Avocado oil
-Mustard oil
-Palm oil
-Peanut oil
-Rice Bran oil
-Safflower oil
-Sesame oil
-Sunflower oil
-Olive oil
-Soybean oil
-Canola oil
-Corn oil
-Vegetable oil
-Animal Based oil
Without these oils think about the blandness of your food. Think about how different your world would be.

Water over Oil?
Now that we have looked at both water and oil. We will let you decide, if water is more important than oil. Look back at the facts, can one really thrive without the other? Which do you think is more important?
Water is something that people haven't been able to recreate, while people are spending thousands to find different things to put in place of Oil. I think water is more important than oil, but we also need oil.
